Crispy chick-pea crisps

These are so addictive and delicious and the best thing is, they are pretty healthy. I truly think these are way more delicious than potato crisps from a packet and they are way better for you. These are great for snacking on or even as an appetizer your guests are sure to love.

The flavor of these is so delicious, mildly spicy, a little cheesy and smoky all at the same time.

On top of that, they are so simple to make.

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams of dried chickpeas, soaked and boiled (once soaked and boiled, they will weigh 400 grams roughly). You could also use 2 cans of chickpeas.

  • 1 tablespoon of extra-virgin olive oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic granules

  • 1/4 teaspoon or a little less hot chili powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1/4 teaspoon tikka masala powder

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C.

  2. Place all of your ingredients into a bowl and mix well until all of the chickpeas are coated in the spices and oil.

  3. Place the chickpeas on a sheet of parchment on a baking tray with sides.

  4. Cook in the oven for 20 minutes.

  5. Turn the oven down to 100°C and dry the chickpeas out for a further 15-20 minutes, checking regularly to not burn them. (It's normal that you hear a whistling sound coming from the chickpeas).

  6. Place the chickpeas into a bowl and they are ready for you to graze on them.
